<p>Pet Shop Boys regresan con un álbum conceptual creado mano a mano con Andrew Hodges, biógrafo del <a href="https://jenesaispop.com/2015/01/01/213481/imitation-game-descifrando-enigma-una-ecuacion-perfecta/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">matemático inglés Alan Turing</a>. ‘A Man From The Future’ estará disponible el próximo 9 de octubre y estará estructurado en ocho capítulos, cada uno dedicado a una etapa de la vida de Turing.</p>
<p>Después del lanzamiento de<a href="https://jenesaispop.com/2024/04/30/474386/pet-shop-boys-nonetheless/" rel="noopener" target="_blank"> ‘Nonetheless’,</a> el dúo británico se atreve con lo que describen como «un monumento muical a Alan Turing, que tanto dio a su país y al mundo y fue recompensado siendo perseguido por su sexualidad». La misma idea ya se les ocurrió a <a href="https://jenesaispop.com/2012/05/07/106314/hidrogenesse-un-digito-binario-dudoso-recital-para-alan-turing/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Hidrogenesse en 2012</a> y no les salió nada mal, con la revista Rockdelux nombrándolo Disco del Año.</p>
<p>Estos recuerdan la «increíble contribución» de Turing para la derrota de los nazis en la Segunda Guerra Mundial en el campo de la tecnología, pero también como este «quería vivir en una época en la que ser gay fuese normal»: «Tanto en su vida privada como profesional, estaba adelantado a su tiempo», han declarado Neil Tennant y Chris Lowe. </p>
<p>‘A Man From The Future’ estará compuesto por canciones, <em>spoken word</em> y música orquestal y electrónica, además de que contará una historia de forma cronológica, desde los días de infancia de Turing hasta su papel en la invención del ordenador digital.</p>
