<p>«Tras nuestra actuación en el Star Theatre de Singapur el 29 de julio, nos sorprendió y decepcionó que toda nuestra banda fuera detenida por la policía, aislada e interrogada por separado», comienza el comunicado. La banda explica que todo comenzó cuando el público empezó a corear de forma espontánea el «Palestina libre». </p>
<p>Aseguran que no eran conscientes de que «esta expresión por sí sola pudiese violar las leyes de censura de su gobierno»: «Por nuestra parte, no imaginábamos que alzar una bandera de un país soberano reconocido por otro 157 países violaría ninguna ley», juran en el comunicado.</p>
<p>Singapur prohíbe la exhibición pública de emblemas nacionales extranjeros, sean del tipo que sea. En el comunicado, el grupo británico también dice sentirse orgulloso de sus seguidores por «mostrar solidaridad con el pueblo palestino en su continua realidad de ocupación ilegal, apartheid y genocidio».</p>
