<p>Leire Martínez está de gira en México presentando su disco ‘<a href="https://jenesaispop.com/2026/02/26/517663/leire-martinez-historias-aquella-nina/">Historias de aquella niña</a>‘. En una entrevista, la exvocalista de La Oreja de Van Gogh ha respondido a una pregunta acerca de las discutidas declaraciones de la presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, sobre México y la conquista española. Ayuso ha llegado a afirmar, en palabras de tono colonialista, que “México no existió hasta que llegaron los españoles” y ha elogiado la figura de Hernán Cortés, conocido por liderar la conquista del Imperio azteca en el siglo XVI.</p>
<p>Martínez, tan diplomática como de costumbre, ha respetado el derecho de Ayuso a opinar, pero ha señalado que no está de acuerdo con lo que ha dicho y que las declaraciones de la dirigente madrileña no le parecen que respondan siquiera a la realidad histórica.</p>
<p>“La ideología y el sentir de cada uno es un tema complicado; la diversidad es lo que tiene: cada uno sentimos y pensamos de maneras distintas”, ha dicho. “Creo que Ayuso representa a una parte de la sociedad española, pero a mí no me representa y yo no suscribo sus opiniones acerca de México ni de Hernán Cortés”.</p>
<p>Martínez ha añadido: “Creo que negar lo que en ese contexto fue una conquista, y tal y como era la sociedad de aquel momento, negar las violaciones, las torturas, las muertes… creo que no fueron hechos amigables, y decir que lo fueron no responde a la verdad ni a la realidad de lo que ocurrió”.</p>
<p>Martínez, además, ha propuesto que Ayuso, como representante pública, debería pedir disculpas por sus palabras, aunque ha respetado su derecho a no hacerlo si así lo considera oportuno: “Es su opinión, yo no la comparto; en el sentir de la verdad de cada uno tendrá que considerar si lo que ha dicho es merecedor de una disculpa o no. Yo creo que sí estuvo feo y se debería disculpar, pero ella tendrá que decidir qué es lo que considera que tiene que hacer”.</p>
